YOUTH ROWING
For ages 12 to 18!

JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL ROWING
This is our competitive program for students from grades 7-12. Rowers are broken up by age into Junior U19 (gr. 11-12), Junior U17 (gr. 9-10) and Junior U15 (gr. 7-8).

ROW WITH US YEAR ROUND
There are three seasons: spring, summer and fall/winter. Experience is not required to join the fall or spring sessions. It is recommended that a learn-to-row program is taken for the summer session.

-
Spring season runs from February to May – the focus is on developing skills and training and participating in regattas.
-
Summer season runs from June to August – this season is more casual with a few of the more experienced rowers participating in regattas. Youth finishing learn-to-row camps are encouraged to join upon completion of their camp.
-
Fall/Winter season runs from the Tuesday after Labour Day until January 31 – the emphasis is on teaching the basics of rowing to newcomers and developing the skills of existing rowers. Throughout the winter months practices are primarily on dryland with a focus on conditioning and strength.
